The Ice Rink is back in Castlebar this festive season. With our all weather marquee you and your friends will be able to enjoy real ice in the heart of Castlebar whatever the weather! Running from Nov 29th to Jan 5th make sure to get your skates on and don’t miss this great festive family fun day out.
For added fun bring the little ones along to Skate with Santa every Saturday and Sunday morning for first 1 session (12pm – 1pm) until 15th December. On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd we will have 2 skate with Santa session each day (11am – 12pm, 12pm – 1pm
*Please note - Skaters must arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of your session. Late arrivals will not have time added on to their session

How to Book
- To book Mayo On Ice follow these simple steps
- Click on your preferred date on the calendar on the right
- Enter the quantity of adults and children you would like to book for or choose a family bundle
- Add to order and proceed to checkout
- Your Booking Details
- Please check your Date, Time and Pricing.
- Complete Booking
- Enter your Billing and Primary Contact Information
- *For Zip / Postal Code - Enter 0000 if from Rep of Ireland
- Click Terms & conditions box and complete booking.
- Your booking receipt will be sent to you shortly from Mayo On Ice.
We accept all major Credit / Debit cards.
What You Need To Know
- All our sessions last 55 minutes and you should arrive at least 20 minutes before your session starts.
- It’s a good idea to wear gloves.
- Wear thick socks and bring an extra pair just in case.
- Skating is like cycling, you’re safer wearing a helmet so please feel free to bring your own.
- Please note all afternoon sessions are on the half hour.
- All 1st sessions of the day are for Under 12s and families only. Skating lessons are also available for both private and groups
- The maximum number of tickets that can be bought per session is 200
- The rink is closed every day at 2pm and 6.30pm for 30 minutes in order to clean the ice.
To visit Mayo On Ice you must bring the following:
- The confirmation email on your mobile phone may be shown at check in as proof of your booking.
- OR Please bring proof of your booking by printing your voucher at the end of the booking process or the voucher can be printed by clicking the link on your confirmation email.
Important! Santa's Elves won’t be happy without one of the above proof of receipts. Don't end up on his naughty list.....
- There is a Shop with refreshments and hot beverages with seating for spectators.
- Ice Skates are included in the price.
- Tickets are valid only on the day.
- Tickets may be exchanged if presented at the Box Office prior to the skating session.
- Avail of Discount Parking Voucher when booking online.
- A change fee of €3.00 will apply as well as any difference in ticket price. Please note that we do not offer refunds.
- We accept Visa, Laser and MasterCard at the Box Office and all major debit/credit cards online
Safety tips
Every effort is taken to ensure patrons safety, but you must be aware that this is an ice rink and you may fall. If you choose to skate you do so at your own risk.
- DO ensure your skates fit correctly, if they don’t please contact an ice marshal who will adjust or replace your skates

- DO wear gloves
- DO bring your own helmets, knee pads, elbow pads if you wish
- DO obey marshal's instructions at all times
- DO familiarise yourself with all emergency exits
- DO NOT smoke, drink or eat while on the ice
- DO NOT use cameras or mobile phones while on the ice
- DO NOT climb over the barriers
- DO NOT enter ice rink without skates
- DO NOT lie or sit on the ice
- DO NOT act in any way that may cause harm to yourself or others
- DO NOT form trains while skating
Terms & Conditions
Every effort is taken to ensure patrons safety, but you must be aware that this is an ice rink and you may fall. If you choose to skate you do so at your own risk.
Children under 12 should be supervised by an adult over 18. The supervising adult must remain in the building.
Children under 8 must be accompanied on the ice by an adult
Tickets purchased are only valid for the session stated on the ticket. Tickets may be transferred to another session by prior arrangement with management and may be subject to an admin fee.
Skaters must arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of your session. Late arrivals will not have time added on to their session
Management reserve the right of refusal or removal of any person causing offence or interrupting the enjoyment of other skaters. Any person showing signs of intoxication will not be permitted. Anti social behaviour including but not limited to fighting, vandalism, swearing, spitting will result in immediate removal from the ice rink.
Mayo on ice is not responsible for loss or damage of personal property
In the unlikely event that a session can not go ahead due to extreme weather or technical issues, then ticket holders will be offered a ticket for an alternative mutually suitable session.
Any patrons who suffer from injuries or medical conditions are advised to seek medical advice prior to skating
Gift Vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
Gift Vouchers are non refundable
Gift vouchers are valid for the duration of the Mayo on Ice event and are deemed expired at the end of the event.
